Let donations ring!

Once you pop...

This photograph may look like your average 36-year-old man eating a red, white, and blue popsicle, but there's much more. At the time, this guy (let's call him Ramón) was supporting his wife (let's say she's me) at the annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation walk, Great Strides. Ramón knew that loving someone with cystic fibrosis might be complicated, but he followed his heart.

After eating that popsicle (and likely several more), Ramón and I headed back to our condo — though we didn't stay there long. Instead, Ramón suggested we go look at engagement rings. Maybe we were drunk on sun or overly motivated by the amount raised that day, but off we went. Together we designed a beautiful, one-of-a-kind ring. The year was 2015, and we were committing to forever — however long that may be.

I would have never guessed I'd be the one navigating life without him by my side, but I know he's always here. This year's walk is just two days away, and I'm gratefully accepting donations of any amount. Though I miss Ramón tremendously, I'm just happy to be here. Donate using the link below!
